*In response to some of the questions regarding missionary work by Tyler’s Dad, Elder Bang wrote the following…

So we do not get to work very close with ward missionaries or our ward mission leader because our WML is working all the time, and we have no ward missionaries, but with four sets of missionaries in our area, we pretty much just do all the work and ask for joint-teaching with a lot of recent converts. All of the missionaries work pretty much in the same area. We really should get more time with members, but the ward members have some problems getting to help us as we have goals for proselyting hours set by President, which does not include dinner appointments in the middle of nowhere or visits with them in the city. It’s quite the grind. Besides that, we do get a lot of work done.
I would just have to say that if members could understand the plight of the missionary in full, there is no way we wouldn’t become the worlds most effective missionaries. We pray for them and we fast for missionary work as a ward, but the cogs all seem to be rotating by themselves, not in sync.
Anyways, don’t worry about it, we are doing all we can to help our ward members and have them help us. It will be good. I am glad that Ethan is putting in some hard work (at football spring training). I think he is going to be a better student, orchestra player, and football player than I was. Guaranteed. If he puts in enough hard work he might just have to decline an O line scholarship to Bama. Or D line, if he really wants to get on the D line.
Olivia is super cute (as always) and I definitely know she’s gonna be talking pretty soon. The pictures are great. Her curly hair is super cute.
Love you guys.
