6 Month Mark!!!!
I have to say that I finally know now how to be a missionary. Just in time for me to go out and figure out how to do it! I don’t really feel like anything has changed except for the fact that I know I am supposed to be here and I am here to serve the Lord!!! Besides that, I don’t really know what else to say except for I have officially killed a pair of shoes. Looking back on what I have learned as a missionary, I would have to say the most important part is to be teachable and no one is perfect (myself included). The Chinese I wish was better, my habits I wish were better, my teaching I wish was better, but it all will come in time. Be careful when you pray for patience, you might just get what you ask for.
So we had Stake conference this week and they talked a lot about member work and things like that. We are hoping that we can get a rise out of our ward and get a bunch of them coming out with us maybe even once a month. We try to get member work, but many of them live far away and we are not sure if it would be effective to travel all the way out there, but with the Stake president on our side, we are sure that everybody will want to help out.
We have had a lot of finding to do, but it is good so that we can prepare for this month. We have lofty goals set by our leaders and we want to make them. Our mission president made a few remarks and told the members that they need to understand the work is hastening. we will find, teach, and baptize faster than many people feel comfortable with, but president made sure that we all know, missionaries included, we need to prepare the world for the coming of Christ. Isn’t that what it’s all about?
Love you guys
