So just to hook you guys in, all of you who are actually reading this, we had some pretty weird things happen this week.
Had a bickering couple run all over city center yelling at each other (apparently not a common occurrence since everybody was staring) and started giving us the meanest look when we saw them, so we kinda left in a hurry. We then saw two dudes just messing around in the park near our flat later in the week yelling and swearing at us (common occurrence) and looked like they wanted to pick a fight.
I got real close to them, asked if there was a problem, and then walked away. Nothing big. Today as I was writing this email, a guy comes up to us and confronts us all tough on why God would let this world be so terrible. Tries to walk off all cool, I stare at him the whole time, trying to make him feel super uncomfortable, and he has now left the building. Another day in Bonnie Scotland.
This week however was great. We fasted and prayed for some more success and we got even more than we thought we would. it’s pretty great. In terms of missionary work we were able to have a lot of success. Through fasting and a lot of prayer, we were able to find some great people and I have truly been able to see the great work the Lord needs accomplished.
Moves call is this Saturday, so I may be moving since I have spent 4 transfers here, but I could also be staying. I believe it’s about a 30 staying 70 leaving, but I don’t know. The excitement is real.
I think that sometimes the greatest miracles are the culmination of very small ones, and if we can just identify a few small miracles in our own life, we might just see that we are a miracle ourselves.
I am doing ok. the mornings are rough when it comes to allergies and stuff, but during the day it’s usually ok. The boots are super comfortable now and I love em. maybe too much cuz they scuff a lot. I hope they can last as long as the guy said they would.
Side note: There is a girl on the computer in the library next to me watching khan academy on calculus. May go and try to help her and get a missionary opportunity out of it. My math is rusty though…that scottish humidity.
Love,
Elder Bang
Here are some pictures of the flat (kinda messy) and my boots.
