Hey Everyone!!!
So just to inform you, its the end of the transfer and I am heading off to Peterhead! A little town in northern Scotland near Aberdeen. I will be getting a new trainee too, so Double the fun!
This week has been a very exciting, We started off by taking a trip to Broughty Ferry in Dundee, a very beautiful place full of very wealthy tourists and stuff. Our trip was fantastic, except for a really awkward story we had, it was pretty dang awkward in the moment, as told by my companion. (He included a video clip here which we will try and figure out how to post as well. The long and the short of it is they ended up in a super “expensive” restaurant and had to get up and walk out.)
Anyways, we had a great spiritual experience on Wednesday. A woman who we are working with from China had become our best friend and she loves the gospel. She shares it with her husband who has yet to meet, but they both express their appreciation for us bringing the gospel to them. Hopefully they will get baptised soon. We were planning that morning and she called us. Now to have an investigator call us was weird, but we answered the phone anyways. She asked if we could meet at 10:00 sharp because she needed our help. We left and met her at the city center in Dundee to go sit on some steps outside a public place. We asked her why she was wanting to meet and what happened next brought me to tears. She told us that being in Dundee has brought her so low that she just wished she could be in China. The language, job, and cultural differences had just been very tough. She said it was too tough. We sat there as she cried and I could only ask her to just think of what she could do. We decided she should pray right there for herself and I cannot describe the way she pleaded with Heavenly Father to help her, mostly because she said it in Chinese and that the spirit just about rained out of the sky as hard as every rainstorm in Scotland combined onto us. I knew she felt it and afterwards she said that she knew the spirit and that she knows who to rely on when she needs help in life.
Indescribable.
Anyways, We got crap bombed by a seagull after, but a few washes later we were fine and it only gave us a greater desire to go and conquer the world. So many dinner appointments this week and just to top it all off, we got to cut some bushes and stuff down on Saturday for a member and it was the greatest feeling in the world to hear the lawnmower, bush clippers, and the sound of a sprinkler going while it smells like fresh cut grass. what a week.
Going to the mission home tomorrow to pick up a trainee (don’t know who) and will be in Peterhead area by Wednesday!
