The work is mighty and the Lord has rained his blessings upon the righteous.
(That was the end of his email to everyone. Below is an excerpt from his email to his parents.)
I am doing absolutely great. Super happy that I get to be with Elder Wang. My chinese is great, the work is fantastic (had 4 chinese students and 2 chinese families at church) and we are around some of the greatest missionaries in the mission!
Elder Wang is a fantastic cook! We had the zone leaders over and he made the flipping greatest curry ever. We have a chinese market around here, so we are doing great. When we visit those chinese families, they give us authentic chinese food and they only speak in Chinese, so it’s the full experience lol. We are currently working on breaking the Chinese-Scottish barrier and we will keep you updated, but situations have changed and we are now counting on some decisions from Bishop about helping these students and families, please pray for us!!!
That is great that Ethan came back safe. He must be growing up very fast!!! Tell him I love him! Please also tell Halmoni and Harabuji that I love them too. It is great to have their wonderful examples in the mission field. I know they will do great things!!!
One last question…. Very important one…
I am considering purchasing a very special and traditional piece of Scottish Men’s Clothing that is known by the name of…. a kilt. They are a little expensive, but I was told that I could purchase an authentic one made of very nice material for less than £200. That was from the mouth of a pure scottish lad who knows the area well. I understand it is very expensive, but this may be a once in a lifetime experience, and I would really like to have one. Yeah or Nay?
Love you guys!!!,
Elder Bang
(of course his parents said, yes! Before his mission he would get angry every time someone teased him about a kilt….. LOL)
This next quote Elder Bang sent us from an email he got from a recent convert, Karen who moved back to her home country, Malta after being baptized.
“Just yesterday I shared my testimony at the General Conference for the first time as President had asked me a week earlier. It went really well apart from the fact I was on the break of crying (the Holy Ghost’s strong presence – every single time) but worth it definitely as even the Elders there said it was specially touching, and felt the spirit. So thank you so much for preparing all along for my membership, callings and just everything of giving my best to the Church. And……my first calling yesterday is that I’m going to be the 1st counselor of the Young Women, with Lienna being the President, so we’re quite excited.
Thank you so much once again, and most probably I won’t be able to thank you enough for helping me to bring me into the true Church of Jesus Christ and the Latter Day Saints, and encouraging me and helping me get baptised in Scotland. I really appreciate all you have done for me and for being such amazing true friends and teachers.”
 ALL THE FEELS…..
