Hey guys! I am still in Glasgow Springboig ward District Leader and my new comp is Elder Elton! He was in the MTC with me!
Sooooo… Interesting stories first.
We had a great P(preparation day) day, just moving some elders around and had some elders stay at our flat, and picked up some elders and stuff. Not an exciting day, but we are moving out of our flat and will move into a new flat! With my previous experience in Glasgow and this past transfer that will mean I have stayed in the same flat in Glasgow for over 8 months now. Same walk, same kitchen, same everything, so I will be happy to move out!
This week we also had new leadership training and I had to go because I am a newly called District Leader, so the process is that we go to the mission home, have a quick meeting and then return back to our area, so I got tickets to go there and had planned to be away for that day. Me and the other guy in new leadership came to edinburgh early in the morning and called the AP’s, to which they asked why we were in Edinburgh and why now. Welllllllll, we apparently had gone to Edinburgh for no reason, the meeting was canceled, we were not informed, and now it was through skype. So then saturday Ward Coordination also was canceled, right as we got there and never got the text, no harm done. But then our mission conference was moved to Thursday unexpectedly, which happened to be the day I scheduled to take a Drivers Theory test. Fun. All pouting aside, I am super excited to see all the missionaries there!
This week was crazy, we had a guy named David who was going to get baptised, but didn’t, text us saying he will be baptised on the 9th of September! That will be fantastic! He is a very knowledgable guy about the scriptures and will be my first Scottish Baptism! We then had a miracle on Sunday!
We have a few people we are teaching english (great finding opportunity) and the couple that we taught brought an additional 5 friends to church, all of them loving the place!!!! They are fantastic and one of the men said (in Chinese) that every time he talked to us and listened to the people, even though he did not understand, he felt peace in his heart. AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
Love y’all!
