Mosiah 2:17

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening!!!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say that I really wish I could be helping in Texas, but our prayers go out to those in Houston, Austin and surrounding areas!!!
Catherine
This week led to some quite amazing miracles! We are teaching a Scottish girl, she’s a student at the university of Glasgow and she is amazing! I remember finding one day and it was a pretty crappy morning of finding, but I had some hope that we could find a great new investigator. As I was finding I noticed a girl who was staring at me whilst I was talking to another woman, eventually this girl comes up to me and asks if I am a mormon. I told her indeed I was. Well she then asked me one question that kinda blew me out of the water, she said, “I would like to talk about God, are you free?”
Well after teaching an on the spot lesson, she commited to everything, even baptism. We then had a return appointment at the church and she said that every time she prayed she felt peaceful and that reading the Book of Mormon has been fantastic and she feels great when she does. AAAAAHHHHH!!! The only problem is that she might live outside our area… Don’t really care, as long as she is baptised, I’m ok.
David

So David is a Scottish guy that had been found and taught a bit by the elders in Glasgow ward, then handed over to us. To put it into perspective, we had to smack down some biblical doctrine with him just to convince him to come to church. Evidence for the Book of Mormon, Priesthood, and a lot of lessons about Apostasy. We were iffy about him, but he slowly began to progress. We attended his Pentacostal service and then got him to sit down with bishop and talk, in which bishop threw down some doctrine too. He began to improve and eventually after a good day at church, he texted us saying he wanted to be baptised, but it seemed like he didn’t quite understand the significance of ti. One night it was pretty bad, he had been texting us and he really was down, wanted to be baptised, but because of Word of Wisdom Problems it was becoming a matter of “if” he wanted it.
After much prayer and an invitation back to church, he has progressed to the point that he wants me to text all the scriptures discussed in Gospel Principles because he missed it. What a guy.
Leo

Chinese student, 23, GCU, very chinese. Throughout the whole process of teaching him and his friend who got baptised not too long ago, he’s been great. Keeping up with all commitments and loves the Gospel. He is a little hesitant on baptism, but only because he wants it to be a part of his life. I know he will be baptised. His progression was not based on doctrine, or even friends, but on the good feeling he has, and that is enough for him to build his foundation!
The work is Mighty and there are many needing to be saved!!!
Love y’all!!!
