Hey I saw all the thanksgiving pictures and have decided that you don’t love me enough…
Jk, they looked awesome and I am soooooo jealous! Everyone was there! Hope you enjoyed all the company and I really do love all the wonderful support that you guys give! I am very thankful for my parents!
So just a little bit about the area, We are in Belfast Stake, Holywood Road Ward. The ward does cover quite a bit of the city and all of the university. Me and Elder Mcleish pretty much exclusively work on the university. A lot of chinese students, so I get a lot of opportunity to work with them! In fact, The entire ward has given me the title as the “Mandarin Speaker” because I am the only one! I have already had the opportunity to translate for an interview, baptismal interview, Aaronic Priesthood Ordination, and will be teaching Mandarin Gospel Principles this upcoming Sunday!!! AAAAHhhhhh! The best part though is the fact that I now finally (after ordering it and waiting a ton of time) have both the Bible and Triple combination in Mandarin, so teaching is a breeze!!! I am beginning to try to work my way through both for language study. It’s really tough, but I really feel that the Lord is helping! I can’t tell you how or why, but it seems that I kinda can just… get it. Gift of Tongues. There are some great people to work with around here! We are hoping to get some Chinese families to come back to church! That would be amazing.
So I have not gotten the beef jerky or the longjohns. They are currently in Cork. That’s ok, There is an All-Ireland Conference this upcoming December. I will get them there. I am still district leader, the district is the Zone leaders, us, a set of sisters also in our ward, and a set of sisters out in Lisburn Ward outside Belfast city center. The ward is good. about 70 in attendance every week active. sometimes a lot more. We also get fed a decent amount!
To be honest, I don’t know why President has kept me District leader for this long, and in all these areas, since I’m not the best missionary, but he did say to me one time in an interview that the Lord expects a lot out of me.
Hope you guys have a great week!
Love you guys a lot!
