Happy Early Merry Christmas!!!

Moves call came (I am staying) and I am getting a new companion as my companion is moving to Dublin! My new companion is coming from an area outside of Glasgow and I will be Follow-up training him! His name is Elder Hoaldridge! (I think that’s how you spell it…) He doesn’t get in until later today. Don’t know too much about him.

This week we had a baptism! I just wanted to talk a bit about her!

This is Su Chuin Ong, she is from Malacca, Malaysia and is studying Finance and Economics at Queens University in Belfast! She is a very wonderful soul and was baptized on the 16th and confirmed the next day as a member of the church! Elder McLeish baptized her, and I was able to confirm her! The Lord truly does bless us.

Su was found a while ago and was one of the first people I had met when I got to Belfast! From the start I could tell that she was a great person. Over time we continued to teach her, and she had a baptismal date set, which we tried to follow through with, but we were not able to. In the course of time she had to find some time to repent and come closer to God, but as she came to know that the Gospel can really help her, it seemed to just melt away all other concerns. It really is amazing how great the spirit is, because of difficult situations, we had to teach her in a noisy McDonalds one day and with all the distractions is was difficult, but it was in that place that we ended up deciding that the 16th was the day. With all the help from members and missionaries and even some other friends, we had a wonderful service and after the confirmation, she said she had felt a very real feeling she had never felt before. She will continue to study here in Belfast for another 3 years, thanks for being the coolest Su!!!
